Commercial locksmith in Orihuela Costa, from mall units to beach bars

A new lease in a commercial centre, a member of staff who left with the keys, a shopfront lock that has seized, a back door that will not lock at closing time. Planned around the hours you trade.

  • Invoices in the business name
  • Before opening or after closing
  • Price agreed before work starts

Where the businesses are

Commercial centres, a mall and a market street

Without a town centre, the businesses of Orihuela Costa cluster in commercial centres: the Via Park centres by Los Altos, the run of shops and bars in Playa Flamenca, and La Zenia Boulevard, the largest shopping centre in the province of Alicante with more than 150 shops, open since September 2012. On Saturday mornings the market fills Calle Nicolás de Bussi in Playa Flamenca for over a kilometre.

Units in a managed centre often have doors that belong to the centre, not to you: service corridors, fire exits and shared back doors. Those are agreed with the management before anyone touches them.

The work

Locks a business needs looked after

  • Shopfront doors

Aluminium and glass doors with a cylinder and a deadlock, worn by hundreds of openings a day in season.

  • Back and service doors

The door deliveries come through, often the weakest one on the building and the one forced first.

  • Offices and stockrooms

Internal locks for the till, the office and the stock, keyed so the right people carry the right keys.

  • Shutter locks

The lock on a roller shutter that has seized in the salt air. The shutter's motor is a specialist's job.

  • A new tenancy

Every cylinder you are responsible for changed before you open, so the keys in your hand are the only ones.

  • A change of staff

Someone left with a key at the end of the season. The cylinders it opens are changed together.

Booking

How business work is arranged

  1. Tell us the unit and the doors

The centre or street, and photos of each lock.

  2. A time around trading hours

Early, late, or on your closed day, and the price agreed before any work starts.

  3. The work and a key count

Locks fitted and tested, and a note of how many keys exist for each door.

  4. An invoice in the business name

With the work described, for your accounts or your insurer.

If the premises have been broken into, see securing a forced door. A safe in the back office is covered on safe lock repairs, and individual cylinders on a new cylinder. To book, use the contact page.

Questions

Asked by people who run a unit on the coast

Can you come before the shutters go up, or after closing?

Planned work is booked around your trading hours wherever possible, early in the morning or after closing. A door that will not lock at the end of the night is handled as a call-out.

We are taking over a unit. Which locks should we change?

Every lock you will be responsible for: the shopfront, the back or service door, the office and the stockroom. Doors that belong to the centre or the landlord are agreed with them first.

Someone who used to work for us still has a key.

Change the cylinder on every door that key opened. If several doors share one key, they can all be changed together and kept on a single new key.

Can you provide an invoice in the business name?

Yes. Pass on the company name and its NIF or CIF when you book, and that is who the invoice will be addressed to.

Do you work on roller shutters?

The locks on them, yes: a shutter lock that has seized or a key that no longer turns. Motors and the shutter slats themselves are a job for a shutter specialist.

A business door that needs attention?

Ring or WhatsApp with the unit, the centre and a photo of the lock.
